Good News That Cuts Through The Noise
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
A “polling firm” gets quoted by major media outlets, pundits build narratives on top of it, and then the group admits the numbers were basically made up. That’s where we start, because it exposes a bigger problem: too many people are being emotionally steered by information that was never verified in the first place. We’re Rick Green, David Barton, and Tim Barton, and we’re bringing a rapid-fire Good News Friday that replaces hot takes with tangible developments you can actually evaluate.
We move from media misinformation to the rule of law, including a deportation order involving a Wisconsin mosque leader described as a threat to US foreign policy and tied to support for terrorist organizations. We also dig into voter integrity, where an appeals court restores Ohio’s approach to requiring proof of citizenship for certain voter registration interactions at the BMV, and the challengers can’t point to real, eligible citizens who were blocked. Along the way, we talk early voting patterns, why polls can distort your mindset, and why doing your civic duty matters more than letting headlines set your confidence level.
We also hit a major policy shift around government accountability: a federal judge denies an attempt to block DHS from accessing welfare data so eligibility can be verified, strengthening trust that benefits go to lawful recipients. And we close with a striking free-market story: Elon Musk pledging a SpaceX share for every kid in America, and what that says about capitalism, opportunity, and generosity at scale.

I was just uh by the way, Rick Green here with David Barton and Tim. Barton websites, wallbuilders.show at wallbuilders.com. Uh guys, I was just having a conversation with somebody earlier this week that was saying how much they need the good news. Uh this was this was someone that's you know pretty politically involved or at least astute. They pay they pay attention and they've kind of tuned out most of the major media and they were just asking me, you know, where what's some good sources? Where can I get some good things? And I said of, you know, of course, the Wallbuilder Show, but for sure Fridays, based on what they were saying and how much they needed the good news and not to be blackpilled like so many uh folks have have done. And so I just, man, I'm so thankful you guys do this and that you gather all the information. And it's just a great way to go into the weekend with some of the some of the positives. So let's jump into it and get our first piece of good news. David, what's first up today?
Deporting A Pro Terror Mosque Leader
SPEAKER_02So, guys, the story I've got deals with what what we're seeing as I'm gonna say the rise of radical Islam or militant Islam in America. You know, for a number of years, there were Muslims in America. Muslims in America go back to Thomas Jefferson, he talked about that. But there has been a rise in recent years of really radical sharia, radical Muslim forces coming in, wanting to take and turn this nation into, I think their viewpoint is make it a Muslim nation, a sharia-compliant nation for radical sharia, et cetera. And not all, not all Islamic nations are like that. There's some Islamic nations that really get along well with the Western world, like UAE. UAE is considered a fairly tolerant Muslim nation. I've been over there. It's amazing. They're very westernized. I think the largest mall I've ever seen in my life was over in UAE. So they tend to be an ally with America, but there's a lot of countries that hate America and dislike us. And with the open immigration we've had for the last several decades, where we haven't really made legal issues and compliance with American beliefs. And if you're going to move here, you got to agree with our beliefs and our Constitution. We just haven't done that. And we've seen that with the Somalian population all over so much of Minnesota and other places we can point to. And so, with that growing threat, they're now becoming much more vocal, much more adamant. They're creating Islamic centers and communities where only Muslims can be part of that community, something that that is just is it's really radical for America. And so the particularly this administration has been pushing back on that, not only shutting down illegal immigration, making sure we know who's coming in and that they're a friend to America, not an enemy to America, but they're also being active in the courts. And so this this particular case deals with a a judge who has just ordered the deportation of a Wisconsin mosque leader. And this this is this mosque leader, uh, his name is Saleh Sarsur, and I may have mispronounced that, but he's president of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee. He's been in the U.S. for over 30 years. He advocates actively for Palestinian rights and against Israel. And just recently, uh the administration was able to get an immigration judge to order his deportation. And so he has now been taken out. It's it's Wisconsin's largest mosque, but he's taken out on the grounds that he's a threat to foreign policy. And there were several reasons for this. Um he he's actively engaged in supporting terrorist activities and and terrorist organizations. I guess like Hamas, uh, I think would point to Hamas and a lot of the Palestinian stuff, which he's been advocating for. He's very anti-Israel. Um he was not accurate in his in his immigration papers when he came in, was not, did not, did not, I guess you'd say, lie on that, and they're saying he's not accurate. But he's he's an illegal alien, and he came here from Jordan. And and so what's that what's interesting is the judge has ordered him to be deported after 30 years here, and and he's one of the leading voices against Israel and for Palestinian rights. And so what's happened is now that he's being deported, his lawyers are asking that the U.S. deport him only to Israel or to the Palestinian territories. Now, I thought that was interesting. Deport only to Israel or to the Palestinian territories. And he said he does not want to be deported to Jordan because if he gets deported to Jordan, they will hand him over to Israel and he would be in trouble. So I guess by him saying I want to go to Israel, he means the Palestinian part where he would be with the people he's advocating for and against the Jews that he's opposing. But it's such a strange request, and you know, there's no way that's going to be granted in that sense. But it's just interesting that for somebody who's even been here 30 years, we're starting to enforce the law, we're starting to remove the kind of pro-terrorism kind of folks from our own home ground. And that's really a good, good, healthy thing for the long-term future of America. If you don't might like America and what America stands for, then probably this is not the country for you. And we don't need someone from outside the country coming in to stir up that kind of dissension. So I I just see this as a as a piece of good news.
Rick GreenYeah, man, and I and I pray we see more of it, right? That that that's the reverse migration that President Trump has talked about. And if there's any reason, I mean, if they if they give any reason if they're undermining the Constitution, if they're speaking against those things, um, and frankly, Islamic or not, but but certainly if it's an imam or a or one of these leaders, you know, that the group that had had tried to get the uh the the cottages next to to Patriot Academy, uh one of their leaders had gotten deported just a few months ago for some of this very similar, uh, these very similar things. And and I think you're right, David, and I think they're I think we're seeing, I know we're seeing an uptick in in prosecutions of of political figures that did terrible things that everybody thought were never gonna be prosecuted. Uh we're seeing more investigations, we're seeing more of these things that we've called for for a long time, and a lot of our you know, folks on our side uh basically gave up and said nobody's ever gonna be brought to justice or none of this is ever gonna happen. Well, we're starting to see it happen, and I would pray that the you know after the election we see even more of it, and that the President Trump in the last two years becomes even more aggressive on these things. So I yeah, I agree with you, brother. That's that's really, really good news to see that that's happening. Uh Tim, how about you, man?
SPEAKER_01What's the first piece of good news for you?
Ohio Upholds Proof Of Citizenship
SPEAKER_01Well, guys, this first one is gonna be in Ohio, and uh, this is something that happened in September, but incredibly relevant for us right now, uh, given that early voting is going on. The article says appeals court restores Ohio law requiring proof of citizenship to vote. Now, there's actually a little more detail, so that headline's a little misleading, but generally true. Uh, the law required workers at the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles to offer to register to vote only people who presented or had previously presented proof of U.S. citizenship. So when people would go to register to vote, at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, the requirement was you got to show proof of citizenship. Well, this was a case because there was people in the state that that sued to say, wait a second, you you can't require someone to show proof of citizenship to register to vote. And actually, a lower court agreed with this appeal. It was then appealed uh by the state of Ohio to the Sixth Circuit, and a majority of judges in the Sixth Circuit, this was the end of September, they said that organizations and individuals who sued Ohio officials over the law failed to identify. Now, this guy's just listen, this is hilarious. The group that was suing Ohio saying, We can't believe you're making someone show proof of citizenship in order to register to vote for the first time. These groups failed to show any individuals who uh filed or had uh failed identity eligibility uh and prevented people from registering a vote by the law, which was enacted in 2025. So they bring a lawsuit saying, wait a second, you're keeping people from voting. And they were like, Who have we stopped from voting that legally should be allowed to vote? And this group could provide no examples of anybody being hindered from voting who was legally a US citizen and wanted to register to vote and couldn't register to vote. And this is this is good news, first of all. But the Sixth Circuit was like, Yeah, that's a dumb argument. Um, we're we're gonna overturn the lower judge's ruling, we're upholding Ohio's law. They're allowed to do this, but what's interesting, guys, is this is now a split because there was another circuit that actually said, hey, federal law does not require you to show citizenship in order to register to vote. So the state law is in violation, and so it's actually a split circuit, which means it very well could go to the U.S. Supreme Court uh at some point. But I would say really good news for right now that we are seeing the states that, and this was a law passed in 2025, states that have been intentional over the last several years to try to uh ensure voter integrity in their state, that we are seeing this succeed in states. And it doesn't mean that uh it's always gonna have the desired outcome as far as who shows up and votes, but uh but also uh worth noting that guys uh just last night I was looking at some early voting data and I I saw people on social media actually going both ways with analysts, some some very smart people. Some said, look, we're really encouraged because there are more Republicans that are showing up than if to early vote than have in presidential election. And and the reason that uh I want to highlight some of this is because when you look at the amount of people that are early voting, we talked about this uh I think a day or two ago uh in Texas, that right now the Democrats have uh a slight advantage uh for who has shown up to early vote. However, this is quite normal. Generally speaking, about two-thirds of Democrats' early votes, only about 50% of Republicans early votes. 50% of Republicans, they want to show up and vote on election day. So, generally speaking, elections or Republicans have a much stronger turnout on election day. So, this is not necessarily surprising data that in in many places in the nation, especially in the urban areas, the big cities that are very much heavily leaning Democrat anyway, that there are more Democrats showing up and voting there. Uh, it's generally on election day when you have a huge influx of Republicans to show up. But all of that to say is not only should we not be confused by some of the polls. And Dad, you sent me, maybe it was yesterday, two days ago, uh, you sent me an article, Rick. I don't know if you saw it, about another one of these uh polling groups that uh has when they were questioned about their polls, they came out and said, Yeah, it was it was fake. We just made that up. We we we really have the data for that. Uh, Dad, it might be worth you getting into that in just a second because it's it's hilarious. And actually, maybe some good news that some of the polls that are actually being reported on some mainstream outlets are absolutely fake, now being identified as fake by the people that created them. All that to say is it's really good news that election laws are being upheld, that people are showing up to vote. And so don't be confused, don't be misled. If you see some of these polls, don't let it discourage you. Show up and vote. There are good laws that have been passed that are in place in many of these states that are in effect, and I think it will make a difference with the ultimate outcome in many of these states.
Rick GreenWell, Tim, I I man, I got to go back to your original piece of good news. You said they could not find one single disenfranchised voter. I mean, in baseball, we call that going Ofer. I mean, that's like zero, like no hits, nothing. Uh, that's incredible. And and just further proof that that the rhetoric of the left that if we put in place some of these common sense things is gonna prevent all these people from being able to vote just proves that all of that is absolutely not true. So, yeah, very good news, guys.

Major Outlets Cited Fake Polls
Rick GreenShow. Thanks for staying with us on this good news Friday. And Tim, you had mentioned this uh fake polling out there that uh that David said to us earlier today. I I I I I don't remember, was this was this like major media actually reported it as actual polling, or this group was just joking around? I mean, like they literally influenced what was going on out there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, Rick, the news broke that that a group named uh Wedgewood polling. Um, it turns out, and they have been all over the news. They've been quoted by uh the New York Times, MS Now, dozens of outlets, major outlets have been quoting them. And it turns out that they were fake. They did one real poll, but the rest of the polls have been all made up. And they've been doing all these media hits and interviews talking about the candidates and where the candidates are and the distance between the candidates, and and it it just it wasn't real. They actually got outed because one of the uh a real polling company that monitors other polling companies, and they're a kind of a trade magazine that reports on the polling companies, they started scratching their head on some of these things and said, What? And when they started digging in and interviewing these guys, these guys apparently were ready and said, Yeah, this was all fake, it was all fraud, and it, you know, we put it out there and the media bought it, and the media went with it. So as it turns out, the the media has been using this false information to try to make the points, I guess, that they want to make, but it doesn't help the media look good for sure. And we've known that, but this is just a case where they did not check their sources, did not check their facts, and were willing to put something out there that was not true because apparently it was what something they wanted to report on.
Rick GreenWell, if only we weren't constrained, guys, by the Ninth Commandment. What we could do is I I I can see it now. It's it's BB and G polling, you know, Barton, Barton, and Green. BBG polling releases new poll that Paxton's ahead by 25 points, so Democrats should just stay home. Victor Mark's ahead by 25 points, Democrats need to just stay home. El Said is only getting, you know, 5% in Michigan, so everybody stay home. I thought, what if only we were constrained by the Ninth Commandment. But we're not going to deceive, not gonna lie. We'll let the other side do that, and then they get found out, right? So this is good. So, like you said, good news that we're starting to find out about these things. Uh it is difficult, you know, in the polling, not only is it you get this deception stuff out there, they're also just you know bad um uh metrics. So you're you're getting information that's not as accurate. And so that's why people have to just do their duty. Don't get uh deceived by these polls or down by these polls or or up. Like don't get so confident that you think your race is gonna win. Do your duty. Make sure that you go vote and you let other people know as well. Tim, coming back to you, man. What's the next piece? Well, actually, I guess, David, you didn't really get to share a piece of good news. We were just commenting on that on that article. Did you have one you wanted to do first?
DHS Checks Welfare Data For Fraud
SPEAKER_02Yeah, let me let me take one because it goes back to the articles Tim and I both talking about when we started. And this is another article that deals with that same theme. And this is a federal judge denies a bid to block the Department of Homeland Security from accessing welfare data. And what's happening is um the administration says, hey, we want to see the data of those that are getting welfare payments on welfare. We want to make sure they're actually citizens. We because we were talking about how many have come in and been able to vote or do whatever they want to do. And now DHS is saying, hey, we we want to see the list of those that are getting the different forms of welfare. And so here came 22 states saying, hey, you can't do that, that's disclosing privacy stuff. And most of them, uh you had New York State, you had Pennsylvania, you had District of Columbia, et cetera. And there's a couple of kind of kind of Republican-leaning states in there, Wisconsin and Kentucky. Um, but those 22 said, hey, we don't want to disclose that information. And the judge says, yeah, you're gonna disclose that information because you have not provided evidence that disclosing welfare data to the Department of Homeland Security uh will damage the public trust in the welfare program. Actually, I would argue that it actually increased confidence in the welfare program if you knew you were actually giving the money to people who needed it, who were here legally, who didn't come here just to bilk money from the rest of us. But here's what's so that's good news in itself. But also what's good news, and and this may go to something that we've covered in some books we've written even years ago. Do you guys remember U.S. District Judge James Bosberg of Washington, D.C.?
Rick GreenNo. Oh my goodness. He had so many of the, what did we call it, what you know, where district judges slapping down an action by the president. These these in the these uh injunctions that were, you know, by one little local judge saying the whole nation uh the president could not implement something that he had been for, right? Wasn't that the guy? I mean, not just one or two. Somehow he he kept drawing the cases that were some of the biggest policies of the president.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he has been he has been the judge that just vetoes Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, veto, veto, veto, veto. Well, I say veto. You can't veto, but that's what he's doing. He's issuing orders that, hey, that that thing by the president can't go anywhere in the U.S. And as you said, Rick, I mean, he's doing it for the whole United States, which he doesn't have jurisdiction over it. He is a judge in Washington. That's where he's a judge, not the whole United States. And so he has done that so much and has shown such a proclivity not to follow the law, that there are actually two impeachment proceedings against him in the House of Representatives. Two separate individuals have been uh have introduced um articles of impeachment against this judge because he's such a judicial activist. And lo and behold, now here he is upholding the law and saying, hey, we have to follow a federal law, and if you're not here legally, and it then they they should know that. I mean, this is such a tone change, and it reminds me what the founding fathers talked about that they said it's really hard to get an impeachment, but impeachment is like a scarecrow in the hands of the legislature. You know, you put it up there, a scarecrow's not going to hurt a crow that comes to steal the corn, but it's gonna scare it away because it thinks it's something there. And that's what impeachment has always been. There's been so many cases of impeachment filed where the judge kind of self-corrected said, Oh, I don't want to get thrown off the court. I'll, I'll, I'll moderate what I'm doing here. And I think that this is one of the best examples I've seen modern wise of a judge who has been so radical and so unwilling to follow the law and restrain himself to what a judge is to do, and he's making national policy. Suddenly he now sees the light. And this is a great decision because, yeah, the federal government should get access to federal data and they should be able to see that if someone's there illegally and fraudulently, they shouldn't be getting the government check. That's a no-brainer. And this judge has gone along with so I that's good news on on several different fronts for me.
Rick GreenI'm just I'm kind of speechless. I gotta admit that this guy actually had a good decision. So yeah, no doubt. That was that was wild, man. I didn't expect that at all, which that that happens a lot on Good News Friday because of stories that no one else has reported on anyway. All right, Tim, I just kind of teased you earlier and said I was tossing over to you and went back to your Dad. So now it's Tim Barton. Go ahead,
Elon Musk Offers Kids SpaceX Shares
Rick Greenman.
SPEAKER_01Well, this is one that I think is one of the best pieces of uh news to push back against socialism, uh, to show the value of the free market and enterprise and capitalism. It's Elon Musk pledging to give every kid in America one SpaceX share. Now, this article is from earlier this week. Um, but man, just I mean, incredible for so many reasons. So the breakdown of the. Wait, wait, wait, wait, Tim, Tim, Tim, Tim, hang on.
SPEAKER_02If I identify as young, can I get one of those pieces of stock?
SPEAKER_01Would would you report me as as being a dependent or something, maybe? I tell you, I think, I think every person in America at this point, unless they're the extreme socialist and the progressive liberal who uh is just really firm in their position, and they say, look, we don't like money, uh, we would rather starve in socialism. That could be them. But recognizing that Elon Musk, uh with his 2 trillion aerospace and artificial intelligence company, uh, he has pledged to give every child in America 18 and under one share of SpaceX. Now, what's awesome about this? Last year There were 73 estimated approximate 73 million children that were under the age of 18. Every one of these SpaceX shares currently is about $147. Wow. That's 147 times 73 million. Uh, which guys, I didn't do the math on this. Um, Dad, you probably do the quick math on this, but this article says it's close to 11 billion dollars he is giving away. Now, first of all, let me just point out socialism would never produce this, right? Communism, Marxism, it doesn't produce this. This is what happens when in the midst of capitalism, you have someone with ethics, integrity, morals enough that they're not just trying to what people argue with capitalism and ultimately it's cronyism, they're trying to abuse people and misuse and et cetera, et cetera. That's obviously not what Elon is doing. And what's great about this is he further said that this will likely not be the only contribution they make. He said, um, it will start off 5% of our shares is what they're giving away. But for every 50% increase in the company's value over a set baseline, we can contribute up to an extra 2%, subject to our board's discretion. Uh, in total, this means that roughly 20% of anthropic shares are committed to the public good. Guys, this is so astounding what Elon is committing to do. And by the way, when he does this next year, the shares could have already gone up at that point. So this can be a just massive number that this guy is giving away and uh having two kids under the age of 18. Uh, right now, I'm already kind of excited. Now, Rick, for you it's gonna be grandkid, Dad. For you, it's gonna be grandkids, but this is something that every American should be celebrating. And again, this was a result of somebody in the free market using their God-given gifts, talents, and abilities. And this is a uniquely American thing that is happening. The reason Elon moved from Africa to America was for these opportunities. It's the reason people from all over the world are coming to America, by the way. It's also the reason Elon left California and came to Texas and has gone to other places because certain ideas, concepts, principles, and philosophies they don't work. When you apply them, it doesn't bring productivity, it doesn't bring freedom, it doesn't encourage creativity. And this is where you see there's a lot of red states that have grown with population increase from people leaving liberal states, and liberal states are becoming more broke, more bankrupt, more corrupt. It's failing. This is, again, to me, one of the best examples, guys, where you see capitalism on display and you see that every single kid in America is about to benefit from this. And then imagine these kids are gonna all of a sudden now have a very direct vested interest in the stock market. They're gonna be tracking this, they're gonna care about this. It's gonna change a lot of people away from socialism toward a capitalist free enterprise system, which is so exciting to me.
Rick GreenYeah, Tim, so good. And I'm so glad you pointed out this would not, you know, some people may say, well, wow, he's giving it to every kid. So is this socialist? No, this is a benefit of capitalism. Never would have happened in socialism. Really, really cool. Uh well, guys, we only got about a minute left
Early Voting Push And Weekend Close
Rick Greengoing into the weekend. People can early vote this weekend in most places across the country. Now is the time to get out there, let your friends and family know you need to get out there and vote. Um, David, you, you know, we talked yesterday or day before yesterday with you and Chad about what you're hearing on the ground. Are people turning out? I'm seeing pretty good numbers from what little bit I've looked into it. Yeah, we're seeing really good numbers.
SPEAKER_02And actually right now, uh, and talking to a bunch of the candidates, because in the last uh four days we were in five states, probably 10 or 12 congressional candidates, a couple Senate candidates. And what we're seeing is those numbers are actually getting better inside those campaigns. But make sure you go out and vote. If you have early vote in your state, take advantage of that. Uh just in case you get uh snowed in or stormed in or whatever on election day, make sure your vote counts. So go out and vote early if you have opportunity. Uh do what you can. But this needs to be a real stand-up of the people and let everybody know where our values are. This is a great opportunity in this election.
Rick GreenMake sure you make it happen, folks. Have a fantastic weekend. We'll have some more great programming for you next week. Check it out at wallbuilders.show. You've been listening to the WallBuilders Show.
